Community
We’re more than just a catering service, here at The Catering Department we believe in giving back to our local community and supporting initiatives for those most at risk.
Some of the initiatives we support include Kari; an organisation set out to deliver programs and services for our Indigenous communities.
The Smith Family; helping young Australians overcome educational barriers due to poverty. Eat Up, providing school lunches for at risk children and Swags for the Homeless providing shelter for those living rough.

Serving More Than Just Great Food
At The Catering Dept, community isn’t just a word—it’s part of our purpose. Over 2024–2025, we’ve proudly partnered with incredible organisations that inspire us daily and help create real change where it’s needed most.
We’ve walked alongside Qtopia as they share vital queer history and stories across Sydney. We’ve championed the Women in Leadership Forum, helping amplify diverse voices and future changemakers. With The Smith Family, we’ve supported education programs that give kids across Australia the tools to thrive.
We’ve teamed up with Swag to provide warmth and shelter to those doing it tough in our city, and backed Eat Up in their mission to deliver school lunches to students who need a little extra support.
Big or small, every initiative we support is grounded in connection, compassion, and care—values we carry into every service.
